POST FALLS, Idaho – A Post Falls man was sentenced on Friday after abusing and sexually exploiting minors.
According to the Kootenai County Prosectors Office, Ethan Augustus Mattson, 19, was convicted of sexual abuse of children under the age of sixteen and sexual exploitation by producing child pornography.
According to the office the incident took place on October 2023 when Mattson recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with three 14-year-old girls. He also had the girls record these acts.
The prosecuting office said that sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16 is a felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison. Sexual exploitation of a child by producing sexually exploitative material carries a penalty of up to 30 years.
On Nov. 21, Mattson was sentenced and received a 15-year prison sentence for each crime with parole eligibility after four years.
