ENTERPRISE, Wash. – Over 2,000 people are without power Monday as the region experiences strong winds and heavy rain.
The first outage occurred around 11:20 a.m. along Lake Roosevelt, with the cause still under investigation.
Crews are on the scene working to restore power to nearly 600 in Enterprise, estimating it will be restored around 2 p.m. today.
Another outage south of Coeur d’Alene is affecting over 300 customers. The power went out near Benewah around 11 a.m. and is expected to be restored around 1:45 p.m.
While the causes of the outages are still under investigation, Avista is warning that the weather conditions on Monday could cause more outages in the region. They assure people that crews are ready to respond 24/7 to restore power.
