CHENEY, Wash. – The progression of a two acre brush fire in Cheney was stopped by Spokane County Fire District 3 Monday afternoon.
According to the fire district, the fire sparked on the 13900 block of South Short Road. No homes or other buildings were threatened by the fire, which only burned field grass and timber.
