STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. – Stevens County Fire District 1 responded to a half-acre brush fire on Cemetery Road on Friday.
According to the fire district, forward progression of the fire was stopped at about 2:30 p.m. after several water trucks and helicopters dumped water on the blaze.
Fire fighters will continue to battle the fire into the evening.
