Property manager funds hotel stays after Spokane fire displaces 60

SPOKANE, Wash. – Days after a fire left more than 60 people homeless in downtown Spokane, the building owner is covering hotel costs for those displaced.

The American Red Cross confirmed the arrangement after shutting down its shelter Friday.

The near Riverfront Park on Wednesday. The sprinkler system’s activation caused a water main to burst, resulting in extensive water damage.
