Protesters contest Trump guilty verdict in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE, Wash. – Protesters gathered in the Spokane Valley to contest Thursday’s unprecedented ruling finding former president Donald Trump guilty of over 30 felonies on Friday.

The ruling has been broadly disavowed by Republican lawmakers and candidates. Spokane Valley Trump supporters gathered Friday to make their concerns about the ruling known.

An upside down flag similar to one recently seen flying outside conservative Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s house referencing false claims that the former president won the 2020 election contest could also be seen amidst the protesters. The protester holding the flag said it was meant to signal that the nation is in distress following the verdict.

While the 34 felonies for falsifying business records are a legal blow for the president, they do not disqualify him for running for president and he has attempted to snowball the legal process into a political opportunity.
