SPOKANE, Wash. — Public feedback is being accepted for multiple transportation improvement projects across Washington state, including the North Spokane Corridor.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced that more than 1,100 transportation projects statewide, totaling $4.6 billion in federal funding, are included in the 2025-2028 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). One of these projects is the North Spokane Corridor.

The STIP outlines funding for stages two and three of the North Spokane Corridor project. More information on the STIP can be found: https://wsdot.wa.gov/sites/default/files/2024-11/LP-DRAFT-STIP-2025-2028.pdf

WSDOT will accept public comments until 5 p.m. on Dec. 18. Comments will be forwarded to local agencies or metropolitan and regional planning organizations for consideration.

According to WSDOT, the STIP is a four-year, fiscally constrained, prioritized program that includes state, local, tribal and public transportation projects scheduled to begin within the next four years. The program covers a wide range of transportation infrastructure, including highways, roads, railroads, transit hubs, park-and-ride lots, bridges, sidewalks, bike lanes, ferry terminals, trails and safety projects. The STIP is updated monthly from January through October and is developed on an annual basis.

Written comments can be sent to Nancy Huntley or Steve Ahlsten, WSDOT, P.O. Box 47390, Olympia, WA 98504-7390, or emailed to Hqlpstip@wsdot.wa.gov.
