Pullman firefighters train at the Washington Fire Academy

NORTH BEND, Wash. – Pullman firefighters are in North Bend this weekend preparing for emergency scenarios with the Washington State Fire Training Academy.

According to Pullman Firefighters Local 1892, about a quarter of Pullman firefighters are attending the academy, where every firefighter in Pullman trains on a four year cycle.

The North Bend training comes just a week after Pullman firefighters received a vertical vent training prop to prepare for house fires. Firefighters put those skills to the test on June 14 when Pullman firefighters were called to Moscow to help put out a structure fire.
