COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Kootenai County will join PulsePoint, an app and website that coordinates emergency response.
According to the Kootenai County Fire Chief’s Association, the software will launch on Oct. 17.
Fire Chief Chris Way hopes that the public accessibility of the app will help people trained in CPR respond to emergency situations, potentially saving lives.
“When Bystander CPR is given to a cardiac arrest victim prior to first responder arrival, studies have shown an increase in survival of over 40%…This program will save lives in Kootenai County,” the fire chief’s association said.
