Recall alerts for power banks and lawn mower batteries

0

Several recall alerts have been issued just in time for the gift-giving season. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging consumers to stop using certain products due to safety concerns.

The first recall involves Charmas power banks, which pose a risk of overheating and potentially catching fire. If you own one of these power banks, you can contact Charmas for a refund. To receive the refund, you will need to submit photos as part of the process.

Another recall alert concerns lithium batteries used in lawn mowers. Specifically, the Skill 40-volt 5-amp battery, used in Chevron North America mowers and other models, is at risk of overheating and sparking a fire. Owners of these mowers are advised to contact the company to receive a new Skill battery kit.
