FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office pursued an erratic driver traveling over 100 mph in Franklin County, north of Basin City on the afternoon of Nov. 16.
According to Sergeant Boneck with FCSO, the pursuit started on Sagehill Road between Elbow Road and Hendricks Road around 11:30 a.m. when officers noticed the suspect vehicle driving recklessly southbound down Sagehill Road.
When police followed, the driver drove away and turned onto Hendricks Road.
According to Sergeant Boneck, the driver drove into oncoming traffic and forced other vehicles off the road. No vehicles were struck.
The driver traveled through backroads and eventually got onto SR 24 heading into Adams County before the chase was stopped for public safety at around 11:45 a.m.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to get in contact with the registered owner of the vehicle.
The identity of the driver is unknown at this time and it is unknown if the vehicle is stolen.
FCSO is investigating this incident.
