BALTIMORE, Md. – Reconstruction efforts for Baltimore’s Key Bridge are scheduled to begin in January, as announced by the Maryland Transportation Authority.

The project is expected to cost approximately $2 billion and will take nearly four years to complete.

The bridge collapsed on March 26, 2024, after a container ship crashed into a supporting column. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six people who were working on the bridge deck at the time.
