COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – Police officers in Coeur d’Alene have arrested a registered sex offender on burglary charges just three days after his arrival in town.
On Wednesday, the Coeur d’Alene Police Department says it responded to a report of an auto burglary in the parking lot of Candlelight Church. Surveillance cameras captured the car break-in, providing officers with video footage of the suspect and the car he was driving.
During the investigation, officers discovered that he has an extensive criminal history. His past crimes include rape, burglary, dangerous drugs, identity theft, and failing to register as a sex offender. Additionally, he faces pending theft charges in Wyoming.
He was arrested and booked into the Kootenai County Jail for one count of auto burglary.
