COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – As Christmas approaches, several restaurants in Coeur d’Alene are ready to welcome diners on Christmas Eve, while fewer options will be available on Christmas Day.
For those looking to grab a bite on Christmas Eve, downtown Coeur d’Alene offers a variety of choices. Restaurants such as Honey Eatery & Social Club, Hudson’s Hamburgers, Crickets Restaurant and Oyster Bar, and Sweet Lou’s Restaurant & Tap House will be open with varying hours.
The Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association notes that many establishments will feature holiday rates and special deals, so calling ahead to confirm hours is recommended.
On Christmas Day, the options narrow down. Shiki Sushi & Japanese Grill, Tito’s Italian Grill, Taphouse Unchained & Bottle Shoppe, and The Vault Coffee will be open, but with limited hours.
Mackenzie Ferris from the Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association shared her thoughts on the holiday atmosphere in the area. “I’ve visited a lot of cities around Christmas time, a lot of cities in this area, southern California, a lot of places… but the feeling you get in downtown Coeur d’Alene, it doesn’t compare,” she said.
Ferris encourages locals to shop and dine in Coeur d’Alene during the holiday season to support the local economy.
