SPOKANE, Wash. – A road rage incident in which a man purportedly intentionally rammed his car into a fellow driver’s vehicle ended with a gun shot Saturday morning.

According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), the suspect purposefully collided with another car on Interstate 90 this morning, at which point the vehicles remained near each other until they reached East Front Street Avenue near East MLK Jr Way. Police say it is unclear which vehicle followed the other as of Saturday morning.

The suspect vehicle crashed intentionally into the second driver’s car again, at which point the suspect was shot by the second driver.

The SPD says that the gun shot is being treated as self-defense, and that the man who was shot is currently in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
