SPOKANE, Wash. – The Peperzak Middle School principal sent an email parents and staff about the rumors of threats circulating saying they weren’t credible.
In the email principal Andre Wicks told families that they worked with law enforcement and began investigating the threats immediately.
“The investigation determined that there was no credible threat and at this time, there is no known information that leads law enforcement to believe individuals will act in accordance with that threat,” Wicks said.
Peperzak Middle School will remain open Friday morning with extra campus safety present for the rest of the school day.
Wicks also reminded families and students that threats should be reported to the school as they continue to keep safety a priority.
