Semi-rollover in Spokane roundabout causes traffic delays

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -A tanker-truck rolled over in a roundabout near I-90 and Barker, blocking traffic and causing delays.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department responded to the single-vehicle crash around 9:20 a.m., with no injuries reported.

The Washington State Patrol has partially closed the eastbound I-90 offramp to Barker diverting traffic to southbound Barker Road until the road can be cleared. The roadblock is likely to be long-term, according to the WSP.

The cause of the crash has not been confirmed, but the SVFD said it was likely due to speed.

There was fluid leaking from the tanker-truck, and the SVFD is working to identify and clear it.

The Spokane Area Traffic Center is advising drivers to avoid the area and, if possible, use alternate routes.
