WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator John Barrasso, the majority whip, is working diligently to advance President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees and the new Republican majority’s agenda.
Barrasso emphasized the importance of these cabinet picks, particularly the defense nominee.
The senator noted that the confirmation hearings, set to begin on Tuesday, will be significant. He expressed his desire for a swift and efficient confirmation process, urging his conference to align with the agenda.
“Americans wanted safety and prosperity,” Barrasso said, highlighting the urgency of the upcoming hearings.
As President Trump prepares to take office next Monday, Barrasso anticipates a series of executive orders, describing it as a “blizzard of executive orders.”
Barrasso also voiced his support for Tulsi Gabbard, calling her ‘an amazing and strong pick to lead up our national defense and intelligence departments.’ However, he mentioned that Gabbard’s confirmation hearing is delayed due to a paperwork issue with the Office of Government Ethics.
