SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho – A Shoshone County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over an alleged reckless DUI driver while driving a separate suspect to jail for felony strangulation.
According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy was in the middle of transporting the person accused of an attempted strangling during a domestic violence incident to hail when a possible DUI driver sped by.
The deputy pulled over and cited the DUI driver and drove them back to their residence with the strangulation suspect still in the car, and then continued driving to jail.
While it is not typical, law enforcement are allowed to keep multiple unrelated suspects in their vehicle at once in Idaho.
