SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning shooting at the North Spokane Tavern.
According to the sheriff’s office, the shooting took place around 1:15 a.m., leaving a man with a gunshot to the abdomen.
“Initial information indicates the victim and suspect are friends…During the evening, they became involved in a physical altercation with each other that escalated, and the victim was shot,” the sheriff’s office said.
The victim is recovering in the hospital while Major Crimes Detectives continue to assess the incident. Sheriff’s deputies have yet to find the perpetrator.
