SPOKANE, Wash. – A shooting took place near Shadle High School at about 7 pm on Thursday.
A woman who lives near the high school shared what she heard.
“I hear these rapid-fire [shots], probably ten, maybe twelve,” the neighbor said.
A track team practicing on a Shadle Park High School field also heard what they believed to be several shots being fired nearby.
Roads and streets near West Longfellow Avenue are currently blocked off.
The Spokane Police Department hosted a news conference to offer more details about the incident later on Thursday night.
