COLBERT, Wash. – Spokane County Fire District 4 responded to a shop fully engulfed in flames on Tuesday, prompting a road closure.
The shop, which threatened multiple other structures, caught fire on the 2400 block of North Perry Road around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Firefighters and law enforcement arrived quickly, attacking the flames and shutting down North Perry Road northbound and southbound from East Wildrose Road to East Chattaroy Road.
Firefighters say the shop was unoccupied, and no injuries were reported from the incident.
Crews were able to work quickly and save the surrounding structures from catching fire, with only a small shed sustaining minor damage.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but an investigation into the incident has begun.
