Black Friday shoppers are braving cold temperatures to hunt for deals.

This was the scene outside Target in Spokane just before 6:00 a.m. Pacific time, as eager shoppers lined up to take advantage of the sales.

Billings shoppers also started lining up at midnight, MST time to wait for doors to open at 6:00 a.m.

The national retail fest predicts that winter holiday sales will reach nearly $1 trillion in November and December.

However, inflation is impacting holiday sales in 2024. The rate of spending growth is expected to be around 3%, marking the slowest increase since 2018.

Despite the economic challenges, many shoppers are still hitting the stores, determined to find the best bargains.
