Shoshone County deputies arrest man after armed standoff

OSBURN, Idaho — Shoshone County deputies and Osburn police arrested an armed man after a standoff Thursday morning.

In a release, the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a suicidal, intoxicated person armed with a handgun in Osburn.

When deputies arrived, they engaged in an armed standoff with the man. Eventually, deputies and police disarmed the man and placed him under arrest.

The man faces charges of possessing a gun and resisting arrest.
