TWIN FALLS, Idaho – The Shoshone Falls will be illuminated at night for the 4th year in a row for the entire month of May.
Highlighting the natural beauty of the 212-foot-tall waterfall, Shoshone Falls After Dark gathers people from around the country every year and is expected to sell out, according to the event coordinator Haley Evans.
“Shoshone Falls After Dark has quickly become one of the region’s most popular events, and we’re thrilled to expand it so even more people can experience this breathtaking spectacle,” Evans said. “Shoshone Falls is one of Idaho’s most iconic and beloved landmarks, and showering this magnificent high-desert landscape with a symphony of lights and music under the stars is truly magical and mesmerizing.”
By pre-purchasing a $20 ticket, viewers gain after-hours access to the park beginning at 9:15 p.m. where the 10-minute light show will be played on a loop until around 10:30 p.m., according to a release from Southern Idaho Tourism.
In addition to the show, guests may also enjoy a pre-recorded mix of music presented by DJ Eric Rhodes from Midnight Production Studios in Twin Falls.
Treats and drinks will be available for additional purchase from Glazed Over’s donut and drink truck. Event merchandise will also be available through Magic Valley Mobile Swag.
The event is presented by Southern Idaho Tourism, with the help of Idaho Central Credit Union, Idaho Power and the City of Twin Falls.
“Idaho Central Credit Union is so proud to be a part of the Shoshone Falls After Dark event again this year,” said chief marketing officer at Idaho Central Credit Union, Michael Watson. “The vibrant music and light show illuminating the falls at night takes it to a next-level magical experience. If you haven’t had a chance to check this out yet, now is the time.”
This year’s show, scheduled to run weekly Thursdays through Sundays for the entire month of May, will be shorter to help resolve the issue of ticket sell-outs in previous years.
Tickets cost $20 and must be pre-purchased online. Additional information about the event can be found on Visit Southern Idaho’s website.
