SPOKANE, Wash. – As winter approaches, several ski resorts are opening for the season, drawing people eager to hit the slopes.
49 Degrees North, Silver Mountain, and Schweitzer are now open, attracting skiers and snowboarders to enjoy the fresh snow. Lookout Pass opened earlier this month, while Mount Spokane is set to open on December 7.
Meanwhile, the holiday spirit is alive in the Inland Northwest. Thousands gathered at River Park Square mall in Spokane, Washington, to celebrate the “Light Up Merry and Magical Lane” event.
The festivities included a 50-foot Christmas tree lighting, carolers, and a visit from Santa Claus, who listened to children’s Christmas wishes.
“It’s a good moment for people to bond and just have a good time,” said one attendee, capturing the joyful atmosphere of the event.
In addition to the tree lighting and Santa’s visit, the event featured a roaming photo booth, carriage rides, and hot cocoa, providing a warm and festive experience for all who attended.
