Snoqualmie Pass power outage affects signage as snowstorm hits

NORTH BEND, Wash. – The Washington State Department of Transportation has reported that Snoqualmie Pass is experiencing a power outage, affecting signage and cameras.

Up to 12 inches of snowfall is anticipated in the Snoqualmie Pass area which is affecting the signal and camera connection.

Travelers should be prepared for winter driving conditions, especially when heading over mountain passes.

The mountains are expected to receive six to 10 inches of snow, while areas above 2,500 feet in North Idaho’s mountain passes could see four to seven inches.

Drivers are reminded to carry chains and know how to use them when prompted while traveling over these passes.
