Snow impacting Washington and Idaho

SPOKANE, Wash. – A mix of snow and rain is affecting the morning commute in Spokane and surrounding areas. The wintry conditions are causing slick roads and messy travel.

Some areas are experiencing heavier snowfall, others are seeing a rain-snow mix due to fluctuating temperatures.

Eastern Washington and North Idaho are experiencing widespread snow showers. Temperatures are hovering around the freezing mark, contributing to the mix of snow and rain. Road temperatures are also near freezing, resulting in slick conditions.

Winter weather advisories remain in effect, with adjusted snow totals. Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint can expect 3 to 4 inches of snow, while Spokane and Coeur d’Alene are expected to see less than an inch. Ritzville may receive 1 to 2 inches.

Areas under winter storm warnings, including Winthrop, Leavenworth, and Wenatchee, could see 6 to 8 inches of snow until 10:00 a.m.
