Soap Lake man, dog shot during fight in Grant County

SOAP LAKE, Wash. – A man and his dog were shot on Monday after a purported confrontation between a property owner and a man allegedly trespassing on his property according to the Grant County sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office says that a man was on the property owner’s land while two of his associates and a dog were in a truck when the property owner restrained the man accused of being on the property.

The owner and the people in the truck then traded gunfire according to the sheriff’s office, causing the property owner and the dog to be shot.

Both the dog and the property owner are in stable condition according to the sheriff’s office, which is still investigating the incident.
