SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Police Department is searching for a suspect after he broke into a woman’s home near Chief Garry Park.
SPD confirmed the victim was moving and was gone for about five days. When she returned, her back door was kicked in, her home was ransacked and the intruder was still inside.
The man told her he had broken into her home to escape the rain. The woman immediately called 911, and the suspect ran.
SPD is searching for the suspect. This remains an active investigation.
