SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Arena has been shut down for construction since May and will not be finished until the end of August, but tomorrow they are hosting the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party. How is this possible? According to the Public Facilities District (PFD), there are several reasons.Matt Meyer with PFD says construction is on time and going smoothly. The retractable seating in the bowl is ahead of schedule. Crews were able to dismantle everything and get it out before tomorrow’s event, which creates more room for performers and is partially why Hot Wheels is able to happen in the middle of construction in the first place.None of the retractable seats are available during Hot Wheels anyway. If you go this weekend, you may also notice the club will be closed. It’s already been demolished, and crews are working to rebuild it from the ground up.The good news is that some suites will be up and operational this weekend. Meyer says the suites are on pace with all other construction in the building. He also says there is still a lot of work to be done before Jelly Roll visits on August 30th, but construction is on pace right now, and crews are working hard to get it ready.Click here for Hot Wheels info/tickets
