SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane woman is headed to federal prison for embezzling $345,000 while working as a bank manager at Bank of Idaho in Spokane.
The US Attorney General’s Office announced the sentencing of Jessica Ann Marshall on Wednesday. Marshall falsified count sheets and created fraudulent deposit transactions to embezzle the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
After Bank of Idaho became aware of the problem, the attorney general’s office claims that she was uncooperative with investigators.
US Attorney Vanessa Waldref celebrated the sentencing on Wednesday.
“Crimes like those committed by Ms. Marshall erode public confidence in financial institutions. By holding those accountable who commit theft, we restore trust and help keep Eastern Washington safe and strong,” Waldref said.
