SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane City Council will decide how to spend the remainder of its American Rescue Plan Act funding Monday night.

The ‘rescue plan’ passed the US Congress in 2021 in response to the COVID-19 emergency. It was meant to keep municipal and state governments afloat amid the financial crisis.

Spokane received $80 million from the rescue act in 2021, with Spokane County receiving around $100 million.

Check back here at 11pm for an update on how the remaining funding will be spent.
