Spokane city facilities and services closed for Labor Day

SPOKANE, Wash. – The City of Spokane will have some city facilities and services closed for Labor Day.

The city said to be prepared of the following closures:

Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will be a day lateAll Spokane Public Library’sThe Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice ServicesMy Spokane 311 employees will not be availableOn-street paid parking meters and kiosks will not require paymentsDevelopment Services Center employees will not be available.

Other notable closures are all Spokane Aquatic Centers have closed for the season.

For those looking for fun ways to spend their Labor Day, public golf courses, lakes, splash pads and parks will be open for use.

The Spokane Symphony will also be hosting a free concert on Labor at Comstock Park at 6 p.m. on Sept. 2.
