SPOKANE, Wash. — Our community stepped up big on ‘Giving Tuesday’ donating thousands of dollars to support Vanessa Behan during Nonstop Local KHQ’s connect center. The final total was $110,489.
Donation amounts ranged from $20 to $25,000. One donor commented that despite being on a fixed income, hearing the story of how Vanessa Behan came to have compelled her to donate, saying “it just felt good to give.”
Other callers included a mother-daughter duo who made a donation together, a gentleman celebrating his own birthday by supporting Vanessa Behan and small businesses wanting to give back.
Vanessa Behan staff say the donations will help them continue to be a resource of hope, comfort and strength to the thousands of families they serve across Spokane County.
