SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – The Washington State Courts Network is back online after a shutdown at the beginning of November.
According to the Spokane County Clerk’s Office, they will continue to provide essential services and said that the staff is now working to clear a backlog of over 22,000 documents that accumulated during the shutdown.
The Clerk’s Office said that they have resumed the following services:
– In-person filing of paper documents
– Electronic court record searches
– Electronic payment processing
Services that remain unavailable:
-Electronic filing will be offline until 1 p.m. on Dec. 2
– Filing of certain writs is temporarily restricted
The Clerk’s Office said that they are open during regular business hours, and most services have returned to normal. However, due to the backlog, documents are being processed in the order they were received. Staff expects to clear the backlog by Dec. 12, according to Spokane County.
