Spokane County detectives shift missing persons case to homicide investigation

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office have changed their , who was reported , to a homicide inquiry. Detectives have identified three suspects and secured probable cause for their arrest.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, early this morning, deputies, assisted by Kalispel Tribal Authorities and Airway Heights Police Officers, arrested two suspects. Later in the day, detectives located and arrested a third suspect.

Richard Trower, 51, faces charges including second-degree murder, residential burglary and Theft. His wife, Teri Trower, 52, is charged with rendering criminal assistance and trafficking in stolen property. Both were arrested at a casino parking lot early this morning and booked into the Spokane County Jail.

The third suspect, Heather Lewis, 43, was apprehended at a home east of Cheney later in the morning. She faces similar charges.

Deputies said the investigation is ongoing, and further developments are possible. Authorities are asking anyone with information about Abbott’s remains or the case to contact Detective N. Bohanek at 509-477-3223, reference #10046777.
