SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Library District (SCLD) has announced its May events lineup, including Star Wars academies for kids and gardening workshops for adults.
The Deer Park Library will host a Star Wars temporary tattoo event on May 1 from 4 to 5 pm. Young people and their families will be able to design their own temporary tattoos or use Star Wars stencils.
Star Wars Jedi Academy events will be held at several county libraries throughout the month, including the North Spokane, Spokane Valley, Moran Prairie, Otis Orchards, Cheney and Fairfield libraries.
The academy will allow young people to build their own mini-lightsabers and fighter ships. Costumes are allowed!
For adults, several gardening events will take place throughout May, including a beekeeping workshop in Otis Orchards and a class on gardening with native plants in Deer Park.
