SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane County Republican Party published its full list of endorsements on Friday.
Former President Donald Trump was endorsed by the county party after local GOP officials uniformly disavowed his recent felony conviction for falsifying business records.
Brian Dansel was nominated for US Congressional District 5 over his fellow Republican candidates Michael Baumgartner, Jonathan Bingle and Jacquelin Maycumber.
Current Washington State Senator Phil Fortunato was picked by the party for State Insurance Commissioner, with Mike Kelly picking up a State Senate nod and Tony Kiepe securing a State Representative endorsement.
Semi Bird, the governor’s race candidate who has drawn controversy for allegedly stealing valor during his time in military service and for misrepresenting a 1993 misdemeanor to party officials, was endorsed by the county party during the Washington GOP convention in April.
