SPOKANE, Wash. – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman after she allegedly started a fire, bit a man and tried to steal his tools in Spokane.
On Sunday, deputies with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on the 6300 block of North Atlantic Street after Sheena Garcia allegedly bit a man who lives there.
The victim was working on his car when he heard Garcia picking up his tools and trying to run away.
The man ran and tried to grab his tools from Garcia when she allegedly bit him on the hand causing him to bleed.
During the altercation, the victim noticed a wood pile on fire near his house. He ran to put it out before it could ignite dry grass or the house on fire.
After viewing home security footage, police say they saw Garcia setting the fire.
Garcia lives in the man’s neighborhood, and this altercation was not their first interaction.
The victim said earlier in the week he woke up to Garcia standing outside his bedroom window yelling about how she would burn his house down.
Police believe Garcia is also the suspect of several other fires in the area.
Garcia was charged with fourth-degree assault, third-degree attempted theft and second-degree arson.
