SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Sunset Highway Sunday afternoon.
The fire began at around 1:15pm and emanated smoke that was visible from the highway.
Eastern Washington fell under a Red Flag fire weather warning on Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. due to low humidity and high winds. City, county and state firefighters were poised for the weekend ahead of what was expected to be a difficult few days for fire conditions.
