SPOKANE, Wash. -Interim Police Chief Justin Lundgren has announced his resignation from the Spokane Police Department and will join the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Lundgren, who has served with Spokane Police since 2006, will assume a new role as an inspector with the Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 5.

Hall, formerly the Assistant Chief of Police in Tucson, Arizona, brings over 30 years of experience in special services, home invasions, homicides, SWAT, child abuse and mental health support. According to Mayor Lisa Brown’s office, Hall is expected to start on Sept. 1.
“The Spokane Police Department is gaining a great partner by hiring Chief Hall, who will bring his vast experience, innovation, and passion for the policing profession, said a spokesperson from the Tuscon Police. “He will undoubtedly contribute to holistic approaches to building safe communities.”
, succeeding former Chief Craig Meidl, who ended his tenure at the conclusion of former Mayor Nadine Woodward’s term.
