SPOKANE, Wash. – Damien Eiffert, held in Spokane County Jail, faces serious accusations after allegedly stabbing and killing his father earlier this week. In an unusual twist, he claims he has no recollection of Tuesday night’s events.

During a jailhouse interview, Eiffert insisted that he did not commit the crime. “I couldn’t tell you where I was,” he said, appearing jittery with a bandaged left arm. He continually emphasized his lack of memory regarding the events of that night. “I don’t remember stabbing nobody,” Eiffert stated.

Eiffert did confirm that he remembered taking his father’s keys and going to a friend’s house, though he did not specify the location. The last clear memory he has involves an encounter with a police K-9 unit, which resulted in his arrest. “Getting eaten up by the dog, sitting in the hospital, the dog ****** me up pretty bad,” he recounted.

A police standoff led to Eiffert’s capture and temporarily closed I-90 in both directions on Wednesday morning. Despite the accusations, Eiffert appeared genuinely baffled when asked if he stabbed his father. “No, it’s not something I’ve ever really thought about doing I don’t know,” he answered.

Eiffert described a turbulent family life, adding all he ever wanted was a family – and all he had was an abusive dad.

According to police, his father died outside the home they shared on Tuesday. However, the medical examiner has not released the father’s name.
