Spokane man accused of stealing sword and antique WWI gun

SPOKANE, Wash. – A 48-year-old Spokane man is accused of breaking into a north Spokane home and stealing several weapons including a sword and an antique WWI gun worth $8,000.

According to court documents, the man broke into the home of a north Spokane woman and ransacked the property, stealing nearly $9,000 worth of weapons and other miscellaneous items.

The homeowner found her home damaged from the theft according to court documents, with the door to her home pried open.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office purportedly found footage showing a white pickup truck with two men inside entered the home and were seen leaving with items wrapped in cloth and blankets.

Deputies arrested the 48-year-old after Spokane police say they found that he was the owner of the truck according to court documents.

He is now in Spokane County Jail and facing four charges related to the alleged gun theft.
