SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane man was arrested after forcing an adult and two children into his car, .
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of domestic violence around 10 p.m. on Nov. 9 near West Whistalks Way and North Government Way.
The suspect, identified as Antonio Davis, 32, was on probation and had a history of felony convictions. Deputies also believed he was armed with a gun, according to deputies.
Witnesses told officers that they saw Davis forcing an adult and two children into his car. The vehicle was later spotted by deputies, who tried to pull it over near the intersection of West Whistalks Way and North Government Way.
Deputies said that Davis initially slowed down, but then sped off, prompting a brief pursuit. The chase ended when Davis lost control of his car, slid off the road and hit a curb. He was arrested at the scene, and the three victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Davis faces charges of attempting to elude police, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest.
In addition, Airway Heights police said that they charged him with three counts of unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault, based on prior domestic violence convictions.
Davis was booked into Spokane County Jail, where his bond was set at $100,000.
