SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department (SPD) arrested a man for alleged child luring Tuesday.
According to the department, a child called the police to report that a red van pulled up to her in a parking lot and asked if she wanted to pet his bird.
“Officers learned that the girl was scared and told the man no and began to walk away when he drove toward her and cut her off,” SPD said.
The girl was able to get out of the parking lot according to police. The department says security video led officers to the home of Frank D’Orr, who was arrested on a charge of child luring.
D’Orr has prior convictions for rape and assault according to SPD. He made his first court appearance Wednesday. He is in Spokane County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
