SPOKANE, Wash. – A man accused of shooting another man in the foot in northeast Spokane made his first court appearance this afternoon.
Robert Price, 41, is facing charges of drive-by shooting, first-degree assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm following an incident that occurred last night.
According to court documents, Price had been threatening the victim, who is reportedly the boyfriend of Price’s ex-girlfriend, for several days.
Police said that on Tuesday around 6:30 p.m., Price admitted to following the victim and his ex-girlfriend in their car until they pulled over. When the victim got out of the vehicle, Price reportedly fired two shots, hitting the victim in the foot with the second shot.
Price fled the scene but was located and arrested a few hours later. Authorities say Price has an extensive felony conviction history, which prohibits him from owning a firearm.
Price is currently being held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 31.
