SPOKANE, Wash. – A 27-year-old man made his first court appearance today, facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing his car while driving drunk, injuring a passenger and fleeing the scene.
According to court documents, the incident occurred Sunday around 11 p.m. when Key was driving a Jeep with a passenger and crashed into a parked car.
A witness told police that Key exited the car and fled on foot, leaving his injured passenger behind. The passenger sustained a severe head injury in the crash.
Key was located nearby after a witness chased him down and pinned him until authorities arrived, according to court documents.
This is not the first time Key has been charged with DUI. He was arrested on similar charges in August and is still under release conditions from that case.
Key is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
