Spokane police accuse man of Logan neighborhood murder

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department accused a 41-year-old man who was already in jail Friday of the murder of a woman in her Logan neighborhood home.

According to SPD, Travis Johnson allegedly killed a woman on July 21 at around 7:30 a.m.. Gunshots were reported by neighbors coming from a home on the 2500 block of North Hamilton Street and officers found a dead woman in the home when they arrived that morning.

Hamilton was already in Kootenai County Jail when SPD leveled the accusation.

“Major Crimes is working with the Spokane County Prosecutors Office on extradition proceedings to bring Johnson to Spokane County to face the murder charge,” SPD said.
