Spokane police arrest teen for allegedly shooting a boy

SPOKANE, Wash. – Detectives from the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcements and Narcotics (RAVEN) Task Force have arrested a 13-year-old in connection with a shooting on North Nevada Street.

On April 24 at 8 p.m., officers from the Spokane Police Department (SPD) responded to a home on North Nevada Street. They discovered that multiple juveniles were present when one of them shot another.

The 16-year-old victim sustained severe injuries and was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Detectives obtained probable cause to charge the juvenile, who was 12 years old at the time of the shooting, with Third Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm due to his age.

The teenager was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center on May 28.
